Character Kids partners with elementary schools to bring quality theatre education right to your child’s school! In our fun-filled after school classes, students learn the basics of theatre while rehearsing songs and scenes from popular Broadway shows. Classes typically meet 1 hour per week for 8 weeks.

We offer a wide variety of summer theatre camps at participating venues that teach the basics of acting, singing & musical theatre dance. Our camps cover everything from acting on camera to full musical production. Camps are typically a half day (morning or afternoon) and one week long.

Character Kids offers highly customizable Daytime Drama programs for your school’s needs. Programs can be offered weekly, on a per-class basis or as a full school assembly. The content of this program can focus on the intersections between SEL and Creative Drama or lead students through the process of creating a show. Daytime Drama programs are taught by local theatre professionals.

We offer full production opportunities for students who want to learn what putting on a musical is all about! Students will audition, rehearse, and perform a musical onstage in costume. Open to all students in the greater Milwaukee area. All students who register are guaranteed a role in the show. No previous experience necessary.

Forte Theatre Company is the first professional theatre company in Milwaukee’s Southwest suburbs and the sister organization of Character Kids. They produce professional, family-friendly plays and musicals for the Greater Milwaukee Area, bringing the best of Milwaukee’s talent right to your own backyard!

Forte also provides quality youth theatre opportunities for students ages 12-18. As students in the Milwaukee area graduate out of the Character Kids program, they are able to participate in youth musicals with Forte Theatre School, working alongside local theatre professionals.
