Character Kids is seeking Teaching Artists for the 2025/2026 school year! Character Kids offers after school theater classes at elementary schools throughout the Madison area. This is a great supplemental job for working actors and/or college students. 

Scheduling is flexible, but candidates should be available at least one weekday afternoon and have a reliable mode of transportation. Classes are one hour long and usually fall somewhere between 2-5 pm. Classes take place at our partner elementary schools and each session meets once per week for 8 weeks. Pay is $40/class.

We’re happy to work with first time teachers, although candidates should have some experience in theater and/or education. Character Kids is seeking Teaching Artists for their 2026 Summer Theater Camp season! Candidates should have experience in theater and/or theater education, as well as a love for sharing the arts with elementary aged students. Our half day, 1-2 week camps take place at various locations throughout the Milwaukee area from June 22nd - August 7th (you don’t need to be available for that whole window!).

Character Kids is seeking Teaching Artists for the 2025/2026 school year! Character Kids offers after school theater classes at local elementary schools throughout Minneapolis and St Paul’s suburbs. This is a great supplemental job for working actors and/or college students.

Scheduling is flexible, but candidates should be available at least one weekday afternoon and have a reliable mode of transportation. Classes are generally one hour long, take place at our partner elementary schools and each session meets once per week for 10 weeks. Pay is $40/class.

We offer classes in Shakopee, Hopkins, Edina, Richfield, Bloomington, Mounds View, St Anthony, Roseville, West St Paul, St Paul, and Cottage Grove. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday, with class times as early as 2pm and go until as late as 7:30 pm (majority of classes are between 3 and 5 pm). New this year, we are offering a Saturday morning class! We are seeking teachers with any availability during these times.
