  • Unfortunately, early drop off and Lunch Bunch will not be offered for the 2026 summer camp season. Please plan to drop your child off no earlier than 10 minutes before camp starts. Lunch supervision is not able to be provided.

  • Please send water and a healthy snack with your child each day. Also, please have your student come in comfortable clothes and shoes for moving around (no flip flops or shoes without backs on them). Depending on the weather, we'll try to go outside to the playground at some point each day, so wear sunscreen if you’d like! If your child is given a script on the first day, please be sure they bring their script and a pencil to camp every day.

  • Yes, an approved parent or guardian will need to sign students in and out each day. Pick Up and Drop Off will be by the doors closest to the Southwood Glen gymnasium (not the main office).

  • Students who attend a Character Kids camp will explore the wonderful world of theater in a fun, inclusive and low pressure environment. All of our Teaching Artists are professional actors in the Milwaukee Area. We want students to learn the basics of acting, singing and musical theater dance while having a lot of fun! But, more importantly, students gain important life skills such as teamwork, self expression, emotional literacy, self awareness and confidence. Family and friends are welcome to attend a special showcase at the end of each week to see what the students have been working on!

  • In our 1 week camps, we explore a variety of songs and scenes from different Broadway shows and movie musicals. Students play theater games, practice stage skills, and learn the basics of acting, singing, and musical theater dance while having a lot of fun! Each camp ends in a special performance on the last day.

During our 2 week camp, students learn what putting on a musical is all about in a full production. Students experience auditions and rehearsals in an inclusive, low pressure environment and perform with costumes, sets, and props.

In all of our camps, focus is put on developing imagination, social skills and confidence through the performing arts.
